It’s stunning to see in person.
Before the Corinth Canal was completed, in ancient times boats would be pulled along this path to get between the Gulf of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf. Now all that’s left is this small bit of very old stone.
On the West side, coming from the Gulf of Corinth.
At the first modern Olympic stadium from 1896.
This stadium was the site of the first modern Olympic games in 1896. It is built entirely out of marble.
